Name changed 5 October 2026: Attune is now I Can Wait. Only the name and the words around it changed; your rights and our obligations did not.
The I Can Wait website is icanwait.com.au (formerly attunematchmaking.com).
Treat people with dignity. Consent, boundaries and truthful information matter here.
- Be at least 18 and use your own account. Do not impersonate someone, falsify age or submit another person’s verification material.
- Respect a no, a request for space and a block. No harassment, stalking, coercion, threats, hate, repeated unwanted contact or attempts to get around someone’s boundaries.
- No scams, money requests, fraudulent investment offers, spam, commercial solicitation or sexual services.
- Do not share someone’s private information without permission. Do not create, share or threaten to share intimate images without consent, including altered or AI-generated images. Intimate images are not allowed on I Can Wait (formerly Attune) even with consent. Do not solicit or distribute sexual material involving children, sexual exploitation, terrorist material or other unlawful content. No material showing extreme violence such as murder, torture or rape, and nothing that teaches or promotes crime, violence or illegal drug use.
- No grooming, sextortion or image-based abuse. Grooming is building trust with a child or young person in order to exploit them. Sextortion is threatening to share intimate images of someone unless they pay or send more. Image-based abuse is sharing, or threatening to share, intimate images of someone without their consent, including altered or AI-generated ones. Reported under its reason on the report form, any of these blocks the pair straight away, and a person reviews it and can suspend the account.
- Do not pressure people to disclose personal experiences, medical information or intimacy preferences. An answer to a questionnaire is never consent to an activity.
- Be accurate about height, appearance and relationship intentions. These are self-reported and are not independently proven by the questionnaire.
Respect, consent and inclusion
No racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or disability-based abuse, or attacks on someone’s religion. Respect people’s identities and boundaries. Consent must be freely given and can be withdrawn. A match, a message, a past relationship or an interview answer is not consent to sexual activity. Sexual talk in a chat is fine between two adults who both want it; if the other person is not comfortable, stop. These community rules also apply to conduct connected with I Can Wait when you move off the platform or meet in person.
Profile and lifestyle photos
You can have 3 photos: one main photo with your face clearly visible, plus up to two others. No nudity or sexual images are allowed on I Can Wait. Swimwear at the beach or pool is fine. No children in your photos, and no big group shots: at most 3 people, and make it easy to see which one is you. Only upload photos you have permission to share. Photos are checked automatically before publication; unclear photos and failed checks are not published. Automated checks can make mistakes: if you think a refusal is wrong, ask for a check through Complaints and appeals. Use Report on the match or conversation if a photo breaks these rules.
If a rule is broken
Use Report on the match or conversation. A successfully saved report closes the chat for you (you can still read it), and a person reviews it. A report of a threat or violence, intimate images shared or threatened without consent, someone who appears to be under 18, or sexual content involving a child also blocks the pair straight away. If saving fails, retry or email [email protected]. Reports and emails are not monitored around the clock. A reviewer may investigate, restrict or suspend an account according to the circumstances. We never tell the person you report who reported them. They may be able to guess, for example if your conversation with them closes. Serious risks may require immediate action; a report alone is not proof of wrongdoing. You can appeal a decision.
Do not download or forward suspected child-abuse material to us. Report the location or account instead. For immediate danger call 000; for online abuse see eSafety’s reporting options.
Your rights and outside help
These rules set our community standards; some conduct is prohibited here even when it is not unlawful. They do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law or your right to contact police, a regulator or a support service. Account restrictions do not automatically remove any statutory refund rights.
You can report image-based abuse, serious online abuse or illegal content through eSafety. For concerns about a service meeting mandatory online safety codes or standards, see eSafety’s industry complaints process. Each process has its own eligibility requirements.
The voluntary Online Dating Code is separate from mandatory online safety obligations. I Can Wait does not claim to be a signatory or certified compliant. Read our moderation policy, Privacy Policy and complaints and appeals process.
